Account & profile (if any): Information you choose to provide when using features that require it (for example, a display name or username for leaderboards or social-style features, if offered).
-
Support requests: If you email us, we receive the contents of your message and your contact information.
Information collected automatically
-
Device & app diagnostics: Such as app version, device type, operating system version, and coarse technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
-
Usage & analytics: We may use analytics tools to understand how features are used (for example, screens viewed and interactions), to improve performance and product design.
-
Identifiers: Such as a pseudonymous app instance or user identifier used with our backend services, and Apple’s identifiers related to purchases and notifications where applicable.
Information from your device (with permission)
-
Camera: Used when you choose to scan barcodes or capture images for identification or similar features. Images may be processed on your device and/or sent to our service providers to return results, depending on the feature.
-
Photo library: Used when you choose to import photos (for example, for collection or identification). We only access photos you explicitly select where the system requires it.
-
Location: If you grant permission, we may use location to support features such as finding nearby stores or optional collection metadata. You can disable location in iOS Settings.
-
Notifications: If you opt in, we may use push notifications to send updates you request or that are core to the app’s operation. You can turn these off in iOS Settings.
Purchases
- Subscriptions (Brikr Pro): Purchase and renewal status are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive subscription status and related identifiers from Apple to unlock features.
Advertising (if shown)
- If the app displays third-party ads for users who are not subscribers, ad partners may collect or receive identifiers and usage data as described in their policies, subject to Apple’s privacy controls and your choices (including App Tracking Transparency where applicable).
Cloud sync & backup
- If you use iCloud or similar Apple sync for your data, storage and security are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We do not control Apple’s systems.
Backend & online features
- When you use features that load catalog data, news, leaderboards, or other online content, our servers or service providers (for example, a database or API host) process requests necessary to deliver those features.
